Celebrating 1821 in the Digital Age

The Rectorate of the University of Thessaly will hold a festivity for the celebration of March 25, 1821, which will take place on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 19.00, at the "Giannis Kordatos" amphitheater of the Papastratos building in Volos. The Rector of the University of Thessaly, Professor Georgios K. Petrakos will give a salutatorian speech and the Associate Professor of European History, Chair of the Department of Art Theory and Art History of the School of Fine Arts and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Research Center for Human Sciences, Mrs. Anda Diala will also give a speech on "Celebrating 1821 in the Digital Age".

A musical show will follow, by the Mixed Choir of the University of Thessaly, containing the following songs:
• Rachil (Yannis Karkalas)
• 10 Palikaria (L. Papadopoulos - M. Loizos) • Tsamikos (N. Gatsos - M. Hadjidakis)] Mr Nikos Chitoglou is the choir director and Kassiani Amygdalitsi plays the accompanying piano.

At the end of the ceremony, a reception will be held in Tholos at the Papastratos building.
